Launching a Unique Healthcare ID Card and Member Communications Kit
When a SaaS-based health insurance administrator needed a complex healthcare kit printed and delivered to its new members, they turned to CPS Cards to help them implement their inaugural member communications mailing quickly.
A healthcare insurance administrator, which provides employers with an online platform to self-manage their insurance programs, launched into a very crowded healthcare market in 2015. In order to differentiate itself from competitors, the company chose to elevate its brand with a unique, high-end member welcome kit. The company would need to find a vendor that could produce and fulfill the kit, which had a complex design with variable card counts in each package. The company also had a replacement kit that would need to be managed as well.
Challenged with finding a vendor that could provide all the capabilities needed to implement their complex program, the healthcare company turned to CPS Cards. With 19 years of card production and fulfillment experience, the team at CPS stepped up for the challenge.
The CPS Cards Solution
The healthcare company’s welcome kit would include a custom designed mini box, enclosed within an iron-cross mailer that would hold between one-to-ten personalized healthcare ID cards. The box also included a small promotional item. The package needed to be mailed to all new members upon signing up for their services. The company also needed a separate end-of-year program that required fulfillment to its entire membership within a two week time frame. This card replacement mailing involved attaching the healthcare ID cards to an 8 ½ x 11 carrier, folding and inserting the carrier into a #10 window envelope, and mailing the packages directly to the member. Both the welcome kit and replacement card programs also required detailed reporting to ensure that all member communications were appropriately distributed within the agreed upon timeframe.
The healthcare company’s initial program launch was a success with a 100% accuracy rate for the healthcare ID cards delivered to the intended recipients within the appropriate timeframe. CPS continues to collaborate with the healthcare company to provide additional services for their members, including Explanation of Benefits (EOB) printing and mailing, card replacement mailings and the annual membership welcome kit fulfillment. CPS serves as an advisor to the company’s marketing and operations teams to assist with all card-related programs and design.
