Jim Cooney Receives ACE Certification

CPS Cards, a leading provider of plastic and paper card solutions, has announced that Jim Cooney, Vice President, has earned the ICMA’s (International Card Manufacturers Association) ACE-P certification for his expertise in card personalization.

The ACE designation is granted to card manufacturing professionals who have extensive knowledge of the processes involved in card manufacturing and/or card personalization and fulfillment. A minimum of two years of experience working in the card industry as a manufacturer, personalization or service bureau, or as a supplier is required to qualify for the exam.

The ACE-P designation evaluates the skills and knowledge of professionals in eight major categories including: printing and barcodes, magnetic stripe encoding, embossing, laser engraving, smart card encoding, financial transaction card data, fulfillment, and standards/testing. An ACE accreditation acknowledges an individual’s competence, dedication and commitment to their craft.
