Regional Sales Representative

CPS Cards is looking for a sales representative with 8+ years of consultative selling experience.  The ideal candidate would be experienced in selling to executive level decision makers, capable of developing and nurturing long-term relationships and technologically savvy.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Increases sales, revenue and margin within assigned territory/accounts while effectively managing the cost of sales (i.e., call-to-close ratio)
  • Initially target retail and restaurant industries
  • Develop relationships at decision-making level, fully penetrate all departments and understands goals of assigned accounts.  Must understand customer’s business and growth objectives.
  • Capability and experience responding to and coordinating a corporate response to RFPs
  • Design and maintain current account development account plan/call plan for each client and prospect
  • Design and develop competitive strategies to gain market share
  • Adhere to company requests for forecasts, budgets, and reporting including monthly sales updates and updates to Salesforce.com
  • Positive/proactive/collaborative interaction with the manufacturing facilities and leadership team
  • Must play a key role in conveying marketing needs and solutions in the market place via understanding of clients’ target market

Job Requirements:

Ability to develop relationships with executive level decision makers and to positively influence them to acquire products and services from company. Ability to analyze the needs of our clients/prospects in relation to the changing industry and client buying habits. Must have the understanding and ability to apply company-wide solutions to those changing needs.  Effective planning and organizing skills, strong communication skills (both verbal and written), strong ability to prioritize client/prospect requests and solid presentation skills.  Must possess experience in business development as it relates to sales, marketing, internal growth strategies, and external acquisition opportunities. Candidate/employee must have knowledge of technology as it impacts the client.

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership and/or sales role in a consultative, multi-product environment
  • Ability to work independently while proactively driving the sale through effective communication and interaction with client/prospect and company
  • 5+ years of experience calling on C-level executives
  • Must understand company’s products and services from the client perspective
  • Experience with plastic card technology and applications a plus

Job Location:  Commutable to Glendale Heights, IL or Allentown, PA
